Crawley Lib Dem Councillor Marcella Head out and about in her Broadfield South ward

Broadfield South Focus Editor Cllr Marcella Head has been heavily involved with the Housing Advisory Committee - the Council group set up after the recent failure by the Conservative party to sell off our council homes.

This all-party committee is looking at the best way to improve and maintain the housing stock within the Decent Homes Standard.

An Independent Tenants association has also been formed where tenants are able to air their views and opinions of what they would expect from their landlord, the Borough Council. Marcella says "I would urge every tenant to join and go along to the meetings if they are at all able. It is very important that the tenants are kept informed and are given the opportunity to express how they feel. The Tenants association needs to represent all views and not just those of a vocal minority."
