Crawley Liberal Democrats - Working for Crawley the whole year round

Rupert says "Hospital funding not enough"

12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Tue 12th Apr 2005

The recent promised investment in Crawley Hospital does not satisfy Crawley Lib Dems. We are fighting and campaigning for a proper A&E Department in Crawley and one that is accessible to both Crawley and Horsham residents.

Crawley is an exceptionally fast growing town and it borders one of the largest airports in Europe. These are sound reasons for providing high quality accident and emergency services in Crawley Borough.

The proposed walk-in centre is being marketed as a version of A&E, but this is clearly health care on the cheap. At least the Strategic Health Authority recognises that there is a need to be served. Hopefully they can be persuaded to find a suitable site and build the A&E that Crawley people want.
