At a packed meeting of Crawley Liberal Democrats on Friday evening (10 December), Rupert Sheard was chosen overwhelmingly as the Lib Dem candidate for Crawley at the next General Election.

Rupert, 33 and married with an 11 month old daughter, is determined to make Crawley Hospital his number one priority. "Crawley deserves it's own state of the art hospital. We are probably the only town of over 100,000 people in the South East of England that has a hospital that has reduced it's services since Labour came to power.

Two former Liberal Democrat Parliamentary candidates for Crawley, present Northgate Councillors Gordon & Linda Seekings, welcomed Rupert as the choice for Crawley. "Rupert will do a a fine job and it will be great to have another campaigner join the Crawley Lib Dems team. We are looking forward to working together and will do all we can to help defeat the parties of the past - Labour and Tories, better known as the ugly sisters

of politics."
