Crawley Liberal Democrats - Working for Crawley the whole year round

To House or not to house?

12.00.00am UTC (GMT +0000) Sun 7th Nov 2004

Crawley Borough Council are considering whether to sell off all their Council houses - some 8000 of them. This is a situation that has been forced on them by the Labour government. It is not something that all Labour Councillors are happy with but, as is seemingly usual these days, we do not expect any of them to resign on this point of principle.

All Council tenants should have received notification about attending consultation and information sessions on this from the Borough Council. If not then Crawley Lib Dems are strongly advising tenants to speak to Crawley Homes for more information on the various options. They can be contacted at the Town Hall on 01293 438000 or there are more details on Crawley Borough Council's website - www.crawley.gov.uk
