Run by the Crawley Environment Forum, the Green Business Awards are 6 years old. Local organisations are requested to show their achievements and ideas that have improved the environment.

Entrants have covered a range of businesses including manufacturing, service industries, public and private organisations. In 2003 the Civil Aviation Authority at Gatwick took the top prize in the Crawley Green Business Awards.

As part of the award program supporters of the Crawley Green Business Awards toured the Houses of Parliament on Friday 16th April.

Member of the group included Local Liberal Democrats campaigner and Euro candidate John Vincent: He said: "We've had an excellent day. It was good to spend a day with this flourishing green group".
