Support is growing in Crawley for the Liberal Democrats 'Axe the Tax' campaign. Local Councillor Gordon Seekings said "We want to replace council tax with a fairer local income tax, based on people's ability to pay."

"Council tax as an issue is continuing to rise as councils like Crawley set next year's tax levels and the Government decides whether or not to cap them."

"Labour are weak on this as they don't appear to know what to do. Labour has ignored council tax unfairness for far too long."
